Frédéric
de Narp is the President and CEO of Cartier North America where
he currently oversees 39 boutiques including two in Canada and
more than 300 authorized dealers. He was appointed to the position
in September 1, 2005 after extensive international experience.
He has a long history with Cartier, having served the company
since 1991.
In 1994, de Narp was named Manager of the
Ginza boutique in Tokyo before becoming Retail Manager of
Cartier Switzerland where he oversaw 11 boutiques. In 1998,
he was promoted to Retail Manager of Cartier Italy and finally,
in 2000, became CEO of Cartier Italy where he was responsible
for 16 boutiques as well as 165 authorized dealers.
Since he has been appointed President and
CEO of Cartier North America, de Narp has spearheaded many
successful initiatives such as Cartier Love Day. This annual
event highlights Cartier’s commitment to a cause with
the Love Charity bracelet. To date, more than $3 million has
been donated to charities selected by celebrity ambassadors
from this initiative. De Narp will also bring the riches of
the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain to the
United States this December at Art Basel Miami Beach. This
is the second year that Cartier has joined as an Associate
Sponsor for the event.
Born
in Brittany, France, de Narp is fluent in French, English,
Italian and Japanese. He resides in New York with his wife
and six children.
