About
LEF
Launched in
December 2004, the Luxury Education Foundation
was incorporated in 1988. The board of LEF has decided to focus
its efforts on educational programs, by sponsoring an interdisciplinary
course involving professors and students from the Columbia Business
School and Parsons The New School forDesign. The goal is to allow
design and marketing students to work together in teams to understand
the significant role that each field plays in the creation and marketing
of luxury goods, as well as the importance of communication and
collaboration.
Projects
The goal
of this semester long course is for the class to become an incubator
for new ideas and thinking, to create not just another product,
but to build a new business and develop insights on innovative ways
of addressing the customer and selling a product.
