Fred
Wilson
Retired
Chairman and CEO of Saks Fifth Avenue, Fred Wilson was Chairman
of the Board, President and CEO of the Donna Karan Company
as well as Cairman and CEO of Eluxury.com, the LVMH retailing
company based in San Francisco in addition, prior to DKI Fred
was CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group for the Americas. Before
moving to New York in 2000, Fred held positions in department
store retailing for 10 years between 1969 and 1979 with Federated
Department Stores and Associated Dry Goods. He then joined
DFS (the duty free group) in 1979 and was with them until
they were purchased by LVMH in 1996. During that time Fred
and his family lived for 6 years in Asia and 14 years in SFO.
The last 10 years with DFS, Fred served as President and Chief
Merchandising Officer. After DFS he became CEO for the LVMH
Specialty Store Retail division developing new retail concept
initiatives for the group.
Fred serves on several outside boards and is a trustee at
Wabash College where he graduated in 1969 majoring in English
Literature.
Fred is married to Debbie, (a psychotherapist) and they have
four children and one grandchild. Fred and Debbie reside in
California and Manhattan.
